The Special Operations Communicators Association preserves the bond among those who have honorably served with the Joint Communications Unit — and stands behind their families through scholarships, memorials, and care.
Our Mission
SOCA exists to preserve and further the bond among all who have honorably served with the Joint Communications Unit — its members, alumni, and dependents. Formed in 2006 and incorporated in North Carolina, we rely almost entirely on the generosity of our sponsors and members.
What We Do
Every dollar goes back to the JCU community — recognizing service, honoring the fallen, and supporting families through the year.
Two $1,000 awards a year for the spouses and college-age dependents of SOCA members.
An essay contest for members' children in grades 6–12, with Dell — winners earn a computer.
Dedicated April 7, 2017 — honoring members and civilians lost in the line of duty.
Quarterly and annual recognition for members who exemplify the SOCA standard.
The JCU Anniversary Ball, the children's Christmas party, and single-member outings.
Packages and support sent to our members deployed downrange, wherever they serve.
The Store
Official SOCA and JCU gear. Every purchase supports the association.
Sponsors
We rely almost 100% on sponsor donations to fund scholarships, the memorial, events, and care for our members. Your support is the mission.
